Facts about Intelius
Intelius, Inc. is an intelligence reports provider. The company focuses on personal intelligences about people, insofar as one person could know information about another (e.g. his/her real estate properties, professional licenses, email addresses, crimes, bankruptcies, tax liens, civil judgments, mortgages, and more).
However, Intelius has yet to produce intelligences about companies, much less those outside the US. For now, the company is expounding on US-based information.
Normally, public agencies like courthouses, tax bureaus, census agencies, and address registries serve as sources of information. In short, Intelius’ database is made entirely of public records – those that do not encroach on others’ privacy.
Proof of these is that Intellius does not put unlisted telephone numbers in its intelligence reports. As a consequence of this practice, several award-giving bodies have given acclaim to its telephone-related services.
In 2008, Intelius became a finalist to the American Business Awards, otherwise called the Stevie Awards, for its Reverse Cell Phone Lookup service. It was in contention for the Best New Product or Service award.
Intelius may have lost, but it is a Stevie Award winner all the same. In 2006, it spirited away the most prestigious Stevie for a startup, the Award for Best New Company. It marked an all-time high for Intellius, seeing as the Stevies are the “Oscars of the business world.”
There are other award-winning Intelius products as well. IDWatch was the winner of the Consumer Product of the Year at the 2006 WSA (Washington Software Alliance) Industry Achievement Awards.
The WSA award is just one of many the company has received as a member of the Puget Sound community. Headquartered in Bellevue, WA, Intelius was ranked one of the top 150 privately held companies by Washington CEO Magazine.
Intelius, Inc. is a Naveen Jain company.
