What have I been reading recently, What I suppose around twitter and why blogging is the best.
I have been seeing a lot of great new blogs of late. I am of the opinion the jury is still out about all the twitter flap. I still enjoy blogs and have a substantial number in my feed reader.
The point with blogs is that you can find hidden treasures, and they are from people that really like to write.
Sure you can find some trendy souls on twitter. But, seriously, twitter is for people with attention defecit disorder or who dont like to write normal posts. Yes, heaps of people twitter and also blog, and those individuals are fine by me, but I am always and eternally a blog lover.
Blogs impel the author to in reality articluate their judgement. Twitter by comparison merely lets you to say it. Call me old fashioned but I reckon there is a point where smaller is no longer sweeter. We have been obsessed with miniturization for so long. Particularly when it comes to technology. Certainly there has to be a level where we realise substance counts. Value matters. What do you believe?
Maybe the genuine answer lies in equilibrium. And compromise. You cannot push people to have heart and soul and not be shallow. But, too maybe you need to push the navel gazing hippies to lighten up a bit too?
